No matter how big or small we think we are, when we speak up together, our voices can have a huge impact! It can be as simple as talking to friends and family, writing letters, and sharing your voice on social media.

Be creative and inspire your community to help wildlife and protect our planet.

Let’s Get Started

Here are four ways you can get outside and take action for wildlife:

Get Outside and Get to Know Local Wildlife

To be a strong voice for wildlife, start by getting to know the creatures in your own neighborhood. Spend time outdoors with family and friends, observing the wildlife around you. Discover new favorite species and learn about their habits, habitats, and the challenges they face.

Raise Awareness Through Art

Create a poster, mural, or chalk art featuring your favorite animal from The Americas. Use bold colors and powerful messages to inspire others to care about conservation and wildlife. Share your art on social media and use #GreenHour and #ComeTogetherForNature.

Share Your Story

Write a letter to your local officials, newspapers, or community leaders about why protecting wildlife matters. Share how small changes—like planting native plants and reducing plastic use—can make a big difference.

Make a Wildlife Video

Record a short video showing the nature in your neighborhood. Raise awareness for protecting or restoring nature where you live. Challenge your friends, family, or classmates, to do the same and spread the message!

Document Your Discoveries

  1. Draw or describe how you used your voice for wildlife in your Nature Notebook.
  2. How did people react to your message? What did you learn about the power of speaking up?
  3. Show us your artwork, letters, or videos on social media using #GreenHour and #ComeTogetherForNature.
